Being a Provider Contracting Manager oversees network reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and to produce accurate and relevant reporting of data. Trains and develops staff. Additionally, Provider Contracting Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Provider Contracting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will support and own the client liaison function for various or assigned payer contracts, by telephone, text, email, EHR (electronic health record system) messaging, and fax. The role includes communicating with clients/patients and payers to ensure that all client demographics, insurance information, and appointment details are communicated and recorded in preparation for successful virtual encounters. Additionally, this role supports clinicians by providing initial set-up in the EHR, coordinates completion of encounter notes, supporting ongoing EHR mapping and taxonomy standardization, and stays informed and up-to-date on EHR vendor improvements and new features to most effectively benefit the practice.
