Provider Contracting Manager manages the activities of the contracting staff that prepare and maintain contracts and the contracts database system for a health plan network. Responsible for negotiating with facilities joining the health network and setting rates. Being a Provider Contracting Manager oversees network reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and to produce accurate and relevant reporting of data. Trains and develops staff. Additionally, Provider Contracting Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Provider Contracting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Provider Contracting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Collaborate with engineers, architects, property managers and residential clients. to determine and verify the specifications of the project.
    • Perform take offs and assemble estimates for projects.
    • Solicit proposals from vendors and subcontractors. Vette out their proposals for alignment with the projects.
    • Create concise and comprehensive proposals for client consideration.
    • Create, negotiate or review contracts with clients and subcontractors
    • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
    • Build and maintain project budgets, project cash flow, payment schedules and processes with clients and subcontractors. This includes working with our administrative staff to process requisitions, review vendor and subcontractor invoicing for approval.
    • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
    • Understand client and project expectations and effectively communicate those expectations with the rest of the team, subcontractors and vendors.
    • Plan and manage all construction operations and create project schedules to ensure deadlines will be met.
    • Work with our Superintendents / Lead Carpenters to organize and manage the work of in-house laborers and carpenters. Effective communication and teamwork is a must in this operation!!
    • Build and maintain harmonious working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
    • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

    Skills

    • Proven experience as construction project manager
    • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
    • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft Project
    • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
