R L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Network Architect at our Wilmington, OH Service Center. The position will define, document and ensure alignment of the R L enterprise network architecture with business objectives producing a roadmap of planned initiatives.  The architect will work with vendors to evaluate technology, lead product selection activities and assist with POC & Pilot Deployments to vet solutions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Define and document Enterprise Network Architecture
• Ensure alignment of Enterprise Network Architecture with business objectives
• Perform Network Risk Assessments and ensure a strong network security posture
• Collaborate with Corporate Information Security Team to develop security controls
• Optimize network resiliency and availability
• Optimize network support for Corporate Disaster Recovery Strategy
• Lead network roadmap development and support long range planning
• Lead vendor and product selection
• Assist with performing Proof of Concepts and Pilots
• Lead design planning and documentation
• Identify network automation opportunities and lead automation efforts
• Lead standards planning and documentation
• Assist with larger, more complex project delivery support
• Assist with larger, more complex troubleshooting support as needed

Requirements:

• 10 years' experience installing and supporting complex data network solutions
• 5 years' experience supporting Cisco routing and switching protocols
• 3 years' experience working as a network architect
• CCNP-Routing & Switching or equivalent experience required; CCIE course work a plus
• Experience working with Cisco ACI or VXLAN
• Experience defining and implementing network security architectures
• Strong background supporting network security platforms such as Palo Alto, Prisma Access, Aruba SDWAN, Meraki and F5 LTM/ASM/APM/DDOS.
• Experience working with Cisco Voice & Collaboration products a plus
• Experience working with cloud network architectures a plus
• Experience mentoring junior and senior network engineers on performing tasks specific to supporting the data network
• Experience working with vendors to identify key technologies to solve business needs
• Experience developing standard procedures for all level of network staff to follow
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to define technology requirements
• Must be able to multitask and willing to work on multiple projects at a given time
• Ability to work in deadlines and manage expectations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CISCO CCNA Certification
• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
