    25H – Network Communication Systems Specialist

    Job Description:
    As a Network Communications Systems Specialist, you’ll supervise network management functions while overseeing integrated network control centers and multichannel communications systems. This includes installing tactical fiber and cable wiring, along with helping troubleshoot and reengineer associated network assets to support operational requirements. You’ll also perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles, power generators, and equipment. 

    Qualifications and Training: 
    First, you will need to finish high school with a diploma or GED. Secondly, you will want to speak to a local Army recruiter and notify the individual of your intention to become MOS 25H. The recruiter will give you more information about the  (ASVAB).  The series of tests are used by the Army to understand your strengths. It helps you identify which Army Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) are best suited to your strengths. 
     
    In order to become an Army Network Communication Systems Specialist (MOS 25H) you must score on the ASVAB:
    • Skilled Technical (ST): 105
    • Electronics (EL): 102
     
    The first phase of your training begins at Basic Training. Basic Combat Training (BCT) involves 10 weeks of physical and mental preparation to see if you can cut it in the U.S. Army. After completing boot camp, soldiers progress to Advanced Individual Training (AIT) which is specific to your MOS. Advanced Individual Training for an Army Network Communication Systems Specialist (MOS 25H) involves 19 weeks of job-related training. The time in AIT is a combination of classroom learning and work in the field. 
     
    You will learn more about becoming an Army Network Communication Systems Specialist including:
    • Mechanical and electrical principles
    • Preventive maintenance principles
    • Communication security policies and procedures
    • Line installation and wiring techniques
     
     Requirements:
    • Must be a US citizen or I-551 cardholder.
    • Must be between the age of 17-34.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must pass a criminal background check with no open law violations.
    • Must pass a drug screen.
    • No felony.
    • Must currently be in good health with no physical limitations.

    Compensation:
    Total compensation includes housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.

    Earn Cash For In Demand Jobs:
    You could earn up to $40,000 in cash bonuses just for enlisting under certain Military Occupational Specialties.
