PROVIDER NETWORK MANAGER manages the operations of a healthcare provider network. Responsible for establishing and maintaining processes and systems to provide routine services to members including contract management and credentialing. (BVTI) is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) who is looking to identify a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Manager to join our team supporting federal customers in the Intelligence Community on a long-term, high-profile contract. The ideal candidate will direct IT personnel and teams to ensure computer systems and networks continually remain secure and reliable. The Network Manager will ultimately be responsible for managing stability and security of all wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs) and organization-specific networks. They will also install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems in a variety of organizations on a variety of networks. They will frequently communicate and collaborate with other developers and implement system enhancements.

    Position Requirements

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Exhibit excellent customer service while supporting all help desk functions including continuous in-person technical support to non-IT staff.
    • Ability to establish and train new users.
    • Install, monitor, and maintain network systems and activities to ensure continuous, efficient, and secure operation.
    • Support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues and transitions.
    • Implement and coordinate network policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Ability to configure and install workstations, thin clients, and incorporate into existing networks.
    • Maintain the security and integrity of file servers, firewalls, network access, security systems, routers, and customer operations.
    • Participate in the planning and execution of computer hardware and software upgrades (including purchases) for workstations and network software in order to meet user needs.
    • Ability to connect, configure and/or enable information systems, devices or components as assigned.

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    • Knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques used in systems administration and support, including but not limited to, email, directories, desktop applications, printing, connectivity, and project-specific applications.
    • Knowledge of related hardware and software.
    • Network monitoring, security, and development experience.
    • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Expert in Virtualization
    • Proficient in Linux including extensive experience troubleshooting in a Linux environment.
    • Profound knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
    • LAN and WAN experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • 10 years of relevant experience.
    • B.A./B.S. or M.A/M.S. degree preferred.
    • The following certifications and experiences are preferred:
      • CompTIA Security Certification
      • CompTIA Network Certification
      • CompTIA A Certification
