An Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) provider, or OTP therapist, provides counseling, educational, and referral services to patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and their families. OTPs also provide medication-assisted treatment, toxicology testing, and other behavioral care services. OTPs focus on the quality of life of those receiving treatment, and their services are intended to reduce, eliminate, or prevent the use of illicit drugs, potential criminal activity, and the spread of infectious disease.

SUMMARY
The OTP Provider works under the supervision of the President of Medical Services and is responsible for implementing client services in a manner that addresses the Talbot Health Services mission and ensuring they are provided consistently with the organizations vision and values. We are seeking a candidate for our Clyde, OH location. This is a salary position with hours and a schedule established to complete the required duties. This position is not exempt from wage and hour regulations as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor and is therefore granted protections under the Wage and Hour Division of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION

- Active Ohio NP or MD license
- DEA number with X waiver, per area of expertise
- Experience in a behavioral healthcare setting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that general health assessments are completed for all clients.
- Facilitates referrals to physicians, dentists and other health care professionals as indicated by the assessed needs of each client.
- Aid personnel in determining the appropriateness for admissions, as needed.
- Participate in clinical staff meetings.
- Conduct groups and other educations groups as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate client health records.
- Interact with community agencies and refer patients to facilitate their health maintenance.
- Provide medication protocols, detoxification protocols and drug screening procedures.
- Conduct medical histories and physicals as well as additional medical evaluations as directed by the physician and agency protocols.
- Available to other staff to address/answer concerns/questions, provide after-hours directives and help problem solve client related issues.
