PROVIDER NETWORK MANAGER manages the operations of a healthcare provider network. Responsible for establishing and maintaining processes and systems to provide routine services to members including contract management and credentialing. Being a PROVIDER NETWORK MANAGER recruits, hires, trains, and measures performance of staff to provide effective and operations within budget. May be involved with the design and operations of database systems used to manage provider data and produce reports and analysis. Additionally, PROVIDER NETWORK MANAGER requires a bachelor's degree.     Description

    Under general supervision performs highly complex LAN/WAN projects involving the design, analysis, maintenance, and implementation of LAN/WAN equipment and networks. Implementation and administration of network level applications including but not limited to messaging systems, virtual server infrastructure (VM Ware), remote connectivity, DNS, system software reporting and compliance, and database server administration. Aligns daily activities with the strategic and operational goals of the organization.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

    1. Implements, administers, and maintains electronic systems, including associated servers, operating systems, telecommunications, and backup and recovery programs.
    2. Identifies areas for enterprise wide system improvement and upgrades, including trending analysis and capacity planning.
    3. Provides high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges and routers.
    4. Works with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on network implementation, optimization and ongoing management.
    5. Maintains server, database, file and configuration backup and recovery infrastructure.
    6. Administers and maintains firewall products, enables internal and external data pathways including virtual private networks.
    7. Consistently monitors, maintains and manages network for optimal performance.
    8. Plans, validates and implements system, updates and patching for network and server infrastructure.
    9. Manages virtual server infrastructure (VM Ware) including network connectivity and access.
    10. Administers internal telecommunications network.
    11. Monitors LAN/WAN, SDWAN and Wireless network ensuring client access.
    12. Serves as high-level network and technical resource to the internal information technology team.
    13. Consistently test release of products and updates to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility
    14. Maintains technical clear documentation of projects and outcomes as assigned by ITS Leadership.
    15. Provides user level support as needed including responsibilities for response during non-business hours.
    16. Assist the Information Security Specialist in effectuating regular risk analyses, implementing any network related security recommendations and documenting remedial actions as necessary.
    17. Monitor administrative, physical, and technical safeguards and assist the Information Security Specialist in managing MTN’s Written Information Security Program (WISP), ensuring compliance and auditing for improvements on an ongoing basis, implementing any network related security recommendations and documenting remedial actions as necessary.
    18. Collaborate with IT, legal and other teams by providing cybersecurity input and guidance (e.g. recommending security improvements and system upgrades) in relation to MTN’s mission.
    19. Instrumental in developing a network services skill set in other team members.

    Qualifications


    QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    1. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; 5 or more years’ experience in network administration strongly preferred.
    2. Ability to participate in Information Services after hour emergency call schedule.
    3. Represents MTN in a professional manner including personal appearance and communication to both internal and external customers.
    4. Excellent analytical and organizational skills required.
    5. Possess strong problem-solving skills with ability to monitor own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
    6. Maintains knowledge regarding recent innovations in Information Technology
    7. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy. Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines. Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
    8. Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.
    9. Possess ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment.
    10. OSHA Category III No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.
    11. Home internet and wireless phone access is required.
