Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the Operations Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. Starting hourly wage is $19.21-$20.75

Purpose of the Job: Operates under general guidelines provided by the IT Manager and the Director of Technology to assist in providing technology implementations, configurations, troubleshooting, training, support and resources to staff and students throughout the District.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Associates Degree, Equivalent Industry Certifications in computer information technology or related field (CompTIA Net or Cisco CCNA / CCNE or better).
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- 3 years of experience in the field of computer networking and support.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license required.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
- Ability to effectively read, write, speak and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
- Integrity, trust and work ethic to be able to work with little supervision.
- Competent understanding of technology to perform the job.
- Must pass pre-employment physical.
- Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 50lbs).
- Strong background and experience in technology
- Demonstrated success in working as a member of a technology team
- Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve conflict
- Ability to present information effectively, both orally and in written communication
- Ability to inspire, motivate, guide and direct staff in setting and achieving the highest standards of educational excellence for the District and individual schools

- Recommended knowledge of TCP/IP networks including LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
- PC hardware and Windows and Chromebook software technologies preferred.
- Understanding of computer imaging software.
- Effective analytical and evaluative skills in determining solutions to technical problems using standards and common practices.
- Physical strength and coordination to meet the educational and physical needs of the position.
- TCP/IP networks including LAN/WAN and wireless networks and topologies.
- Network switch configurations, programming, and support.
- Cyber security awareness and implementations.
- Data plan / Server room physical security design and implementation.
- PC, desktop, server, and mobile device hardware configurations, management, and support.
- Google and Windows software and operating systems.
- Google for Education domains and Microsoft Windows Active Directory configurations, management and support.
- User account management and support.
- Email account management and support.
- Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and other system-based application deployment and support.
- System imaging software and application deployment preferred.
- Virtual machine environments / VMware VCenter.
- End user help and support.
- IP based surveillance systems configurations, management, and support preferred.
- VoIP telephone configurations, management, and support preferred.
- Instructional Technology systems and applications preferred.
- Interactive audio/visual systems preferred.
- Educational operations systems such as student information systems, financial / hr systems, etc. preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Authorizes, provides and/or restricts access to district staff and other parties to secured school, district, or department data as authorized or required.
- Follows and models all district administrative policies, procedures, rules and regulations including acceptable use of district technology.
- Assists in development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
- Provides technical assistance to the district staff and students as necessary.
- Initiates positive and professional practices to learn new technologies and is self-sufficient and self-reliant on completing the work assigned / tasked to them.
- Models a belief and commitment to professional and personal growth.
- Always strives to stay on task and produce high quality work.
- Builds computer systems; maintain, diagnose, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Installs and configures various software applications.
- Configures file and print shares, domains, etc.
- Installs and configures email clients.
- Manages, maintains, and supports district telephone system.
- Maintains IT databases of hardware, software, and other tech items as necessary.
- Manages work orders using existing software.
- Troubleshoots technology problems as they arise.
- Works with other IT staff to assist in planning, implementing, maintaining and supporting technology for the school district.
- Works with staff and students to help them achieve their technology needs and goals.
- Communication, social skills and ability to work well with staff and students to assist with their technology needs.
- Analytical and evaluative skills in determining solutions to technical problems using standards and common practices.
- Promotes a climate that is conducive to student academic and social success.
- Displays affective relations with the staff, students, and public.
- Supports and cultivates a positive internal/external image of the District.
