Performance Improvement Specialist Responsibilities...
The Performance Improvement Specialist assists the Director of Quality and Risk Management in the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Hospital's performance improvement, quality and patient safety program. She/He collaborates with nursing, medical staff, pharmacy and other clinical departments in the utilization of performance improvement methodology to insure accountability, regulatory and evidence based practice compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
To qualify you must...
1. Registered nurse, BSN preferred.
2. Three or more years of hospital experience and working knowledge of hospital operations.
3. Working knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS regulations and performance improvement methodology.
4. Knowledge of and commitment to evidence based practices and resources.
5. Highly effective organizational and time management skills.
6. Excellent communication and organization skills to effectively interact with a variety of individuals and departments.
7. Physical ability to tolerate a high percentage of time in sedentary work at a desk.
