    We are currently looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Network & Infrastructure Specialist. The Network & Infrastructure Specialist will have technical responsibilities, including the installation, upkeep, and enhancement of all telecommunications, networks, and server infrastructure components within the AGMU.

     AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Install, maintain, and update all technology components, including voice, data networking, telecommunications, servers, and related hardware and software.
    • Prepare and maintain AGMU network & infrastructure technical documentation.
    • Monitor the utilization and performance metrics of AGMU network and server infrastructure to strategically plan their proactive development.
    • Verify that the work performed by suppliers of products and services within the AGMU network and server infrastructure meets established quality standards.
    • Respond to and update user service orders requested through the Help Desk system to solve technical problems with network & server infrastructure equipment.
    • Diagnose and resolve network & server infrastructure problems with service providers and Branch Campus staff.
    • Repair voice/data wiring, network, and server infrastructure equipment.
    • Develop and maintain an updated inventory of parts and equipment used in the area.
    • Perform research on industry best practices to enhance the efficiency of AGMU network and server infrastructure.
    • Visit the Branch Campuses to repair, install, and configure AGMU network and server infrastructure equipment.
    • Provide guidance to units seeking voice or data connections, as well as advice on their equipment needs for voice, data, and server systems.
    • Provide recommendations to the Director for amendments concerning the policies, procedures, and administration of AGMU network & server infrastructure.
    • Responsible for the care, maintenance and safety of the tools, equipment, and materials to perform the work.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or Information Systems.
    • Two (2) years of previous work experience with networks and infrastructure.
    • Knowledge and experience in maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting network & server infrastructure.
    • Solid ability to identify and develop viable alternatives in solving technical problems.
    • Proficiency in business productivity tools, technology applications, and remote communication technologies to effectively support their functions and provide services both in person and remotely.
    • Skills in configuration, installation, and programming of network & server infrastructure systems.
    • Ability to express both, verbal and written, fluently in English and Spanish.
