SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the agency network infrastructure, managing network performance, security, and maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, establishing network specifications, implementing policies, training users, and upgrading systems to enhance network functionality and agency safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. · Provide global operational ownership for network security infrastructure & operations (firewalls, proxies, content filtering, VPN gateways, etc.), enforcing standards, policy compliance and running day-today operations
· Manage technical resources to assist users and resolve problems network and security
· Assist in the development and enforcement of hardware and software standards appropriate for the network security environments
· Assist with the technical IT department as needed for projects and tasks.
· Enforce security governance by monitoring and administering security technologies and verify appropriate security solutions are developed and implemented for network infrastructure components
· Gather and understand network security requirements, controls, policies, and threats by consulting with other internal security experts, 3rd party sources, and suppliers on current and future threats, mitigations, and services
· Assist the Director of IT in planning, support, and budgeting resources for the agency
· Operate the helpdesk/support system independently, ensuring customer support focused attitude
· Facilitate customer support processes to include database entry, scheduling, and follow-up within customer SLAs.
· Generate support system analytical data, recommend changes and training to Executive staff
· Ensure the organization's data processing needs are met in a timely, efficient, effective, and economical manner
· Responsible for the security of mission critical data (client records, financial data, employee records) and its availability to the end user
· Responsible for network equipment inventories, maintain database and update equipment baseline, as necessary. Report any changes and suggestions to the Director of IT
· Use databases to prepare various reports for the Executive Team
· Back-up databases to media and offsite secure storage as needed and store to protect information from major malfunctions, disaster, or other losses
· Research and recommend replacement of equipment and upgraded software as needed
· Prepare software/equipment baseline reports
· Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction
· Actively participate in the PQI System
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Complies with all applicable training requirements
· Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures
· Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs
· Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team

GENERAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
