Provider Programs Manager oversees the provider network administration function of an organization. Collects data, analyzes and reports on claims, utilization, costs and changes.     What You'll Do

    Responsible for the program’s overall success or failure. Performs in a variety of roles or provides support and technical knowledge in two or more of the job specialties assigned within the Program Management job family. May perform the following roles:
    • Manages a group of related projects, tasks, and other work scope in an integrated, coordinated and efficient manner.
    • Identifies customer needs, requirements, and opportunities.
    • Develops integrated projects and leads and manages accomplishment of program requirements to create synergy for the enterprise while exceeding the customer’s expectations.
    • Establishes an integrated program team and serves as its leader to develop multiyear plans which balance stakeholder views, corporate interests, and scope execution.
    • Communicates program plan and status to management, stakeholders, and customers.
    • Prepares documentation to support annual plan formulation, work authorization, performance monitoring, change control, and closeout.
    • Engages with the scope executing organizations to develop and seek concurrence with required change actions.
    • Performs program risk management.
    • Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.
    • Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
    • Develops input for and manages the Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan aspects of the program requirements.
    • Controls costs within the approved program targets.
    • Reviews and approves or rejects requests to pursue activities outside previously approved work scope or funding profile.


    The Stockpile Programs Program Manager (PM) for the Program Integration Division represents program authority and accountability within CNS and is the key interface among Government Agencies and external stakeholders. The PM represents the Program Integration Division in a matrix relationship with Production Integration, Mission Support, Mission Engineering, Mission Assurance, and other support organizations that are providing direct support for Production Operations. The PM provides program level management and control for planning, authorizing, and monitoring the accomplishments of work within approved technical scope, schedule, and funding constraints, in accordance with approved work authorization documents. The PM is responsible for logically and systematically evaluating program and process problems to determine appropriate solutions and to manage a multi-disciplinary portfolio of projects. The PM is responsible for directly coordinating and facilitating the activities of technical and administrative program personnel and effectively interfacing with internal and external customers, including representing CNS in meetings and negotiations within programmatic assignment.

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
    • OR Master's degree: Minimum 1 years of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
    • OR TEN or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

    Preferred Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technical field: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 7 to 10 years.
    • OR Master’s degree in an Engineering or Technical field: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 7 to 10 years.
    • The position requires a thorough knowledge of NNSA and CNS processes, policies and procedures, knowledge of functional organization interactions, processes and systems.
    • Knowledge of financial/budgeting processes and systems is preferred.
    • Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on programs of significant size and complexity.
    • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls engineering projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
    • May be responsible for technical excellence on larger programs/projects.
    • The ability to provide program level direction and control for planning and monitoring the accomplishment of work within approved technical scope, schedule, and funding constraints.
    • The ability to logically and systematically evaluate program and process problems to determine appropriate solutions.
    • The ability to direct, coordinate, and facilitate the activities of technical and administrative program personnel.


    This position requires demonstrated ability to effectively interface with internal functional organizations and external customers. This includes representing the Stockpile Programs organization in meetings and negotiations; demonstrated skill presenting technical information clearly and effectively through oral and written communications; and ability to perform duties with initiative, independent judgment and discretion.

    Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
