Summary
The Clinical Manager oversees, trains, and provides structure to the mental health therapeutic programs. This position is responsible for the effective implementation of mental health contracts and policy & procedures according to the agency, state licensing, and other regulatory bodies, including the Department of Mental Health and the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. This position supervises therapists and other mental health department staff in assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery for all clients in a specific program.
Essential Functions
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of current licensure as an LCSW or MFT and the ability to supervise associate therapists
One or more years of supervisory/administrative experience in the field of behavioral health services, preferably in programs providing the care and treatment for severely emotionally disabled children or similar types of settings
Ability to effectively implement Department of Mental Health and Social ServiceDepartment programs in accordance with all required policies and procedures
Valid California Driver’s License and proof of Auto Insurance required
Must fulfill all requirements of employment, including clearance of all required background records (e.g. Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California CommunityCare Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.), physical examination, and drug testing

In the course of performing this job, the incumbent must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. Frequent driving, traveling, walking, writing, twisting, talking, listening, sitting, typing, and repetitive motions. Occasional reaching, pulling, pushing, carrying, climbing stairs and standing.
