Provider Programs Manager oversees the provider network administration function of an organization. Collects data, analyzes and reports on claims, utilization, costs and changes. Being a Provider Programs Manager reviews existing and future reimbursement policies, regulations and guidelines. Ensure competitiveness of provider network by the deployment of cost effective programs and systems that deliver results that meet cost control and quality goals of the organization. Additionally, Provider Programs Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Provider Programs Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Provider Programs Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Essential Duties:

    • Perform varied clerical duties for the programs department including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
    • Maintain records and files in hard copy and electronic form; maintain confidentiality of all records and correspondence.
    • Assist programs staff in obtaining, preparing and/or copying materials.
    • Perform duties including typing correspondence, form letters, accountability forms, status reports and input/output forms in a timely manner.
    • Maintain files on department records, offender records, forms and correspondence sent, received and/or requiring further action.
    • Type and proofread records, memos, reports, and forms; copy needed information from one record to another as required. Route accordingly.
    • Log and distribute incoming documents and mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone, and convey messages.
    • Operate office equipment including computers, copiers, and printers.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED) required.
    • One (1) year full-time, wage-earning clerical or secretarial experience to include computer operations required.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
    • Must successfully complete annual, TDCJ approved background checks and in-service training requirements.
