Provider Programs Manager oversees the provider network administration function of an organization. Collects data, analyzes and reports on claims, utilization, costs and changes. Being a Provider Programs Manager reviews existing and future reimbursement policies, regulations and guidelines. Ensure competitiveness of provider network by the deployment of cost effective programs and systems that deliver results that meet cost control and quality goals of the organization. Additionally, Provider Programs Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Provider Programs Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Provider Programs Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     1. Manage projects that involve research, analysis, planning, development, and implementation activities. Monitors the progress and timeline; communicating with project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties. Will also focus on process improvement activities. Facilitate/participate in cross-functional workgroups. Ensure alignment with other teams across the organization.
    2. Prioritize, track, and manage project deliverables. Ensures project documentation and reporting are complete/updated. Analyze project performance and identify opportunities to improve the assigned project(s). Initiate quality improvement activities and measures, communicating these measures throughout the organization and various external partners.
    3. Create and foster working relationships with internal and external parties that facilitate project success. Work regularly with stakeholders to identify risks/issues and develop mitigation strategies.
    4. Regularly reviews and monitors project/program requirements. Identifying gaps, areas of improvement, and steps for correction. Delivers training and presentations as needed.
    5. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations, as appropriate, for the Executive Steering Committee, leadership staff, and other internal or external audiences.
    6. Perform all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
