We do this by partnering with high schools, local companies and colleges to provide under-resourced Georgia high school students with the necessary exposure and support to graduate ready and committed to college and career.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Macon’s founding Programs Coordinator, you will be part of an exciting time of growth for Next Gen. After 10 years of increasing success in Atlanta, we’re looking to expand in order to meet the needs of high school students around the state of Georgia. You will lay the groundwork for a successful launch, build strong and productive relationships, create community around teachers, students, and their families, and develop an ecosystem of support and encouragement from the entire Macon community. You will often be working independently but with an enthusiastic and supportive team in Atlanta at your back. We will ask a lot of you in this first year, but never without constant support and excitement for what we are building together.
THE ROLE
As Programs Coordinator, you will lead efforts in overseeing the organization’s ongoing student programming. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of student programming at our partner schools, including training, observing, and managing Next Gen Teacher Coaches and College Mentors, and managing exposure experience trips and signature events. As the main point of contact with our partner schools, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships between the organization and the schools and other key stakeholders. From time-to-time, the Programs Coordinator may be required to complete other duties as assigned. The goal of the Programs Coordinator position is to ensure strong student engagement, effective deployment of our programs team members, and continuous improvement of the Next Gen Program.
