    THE OPPORTUNITY

    As Macon’s founding Programs Coordinator, you will be part of an exciting time of growth for Next Gen. After 10 years of increasing success in Atlanta, we’re looking to expand in order to meet the needs of high school students around the state of Georgia. You will lay the groundwork for a successful launch, build strong and productive relationships, create community around teachers, students, and their families, and develop an ecosystem of support and encouragement from the entire Macon community. You will often be working independently but with an enthusiastic and supportive team in Atlanta at your back. We will ask a lot of you in this first year, but never without constant support and excitement for what we are building together.

    THE ROLE

    As Programs Coordinator, you will lead efforts in overseeing the organization’s ongoing student programming. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of student programming at our partner schools, including training, observing, and managing Next Gen Teacher Coaches and College Mentors, and managing exposure experience trips and signature events. As the main point of contact with our partner schools, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships between the organization and the schools and other key stakeholders. From time-to-time, the Programs Coordinator may be required to complete other duties as assigned. The goal of the Programs Coordinator position is to ensure strong student engagement, effective deployment of our programs team members, and continuous improvement of the Next Gen Program.

    A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of professional experience
    • Experience working in the education system
    • Nonprofit program experience preferred, not required
    • Experience managing people
    • Experience leading a team
    • Experience with tracking and analyzing data
    • Experience implementing student curricula

    Compensation Details:

    • Salary range is $40,000-$50,000 based on experience
    • Benefits include health, dental, Simple IRA with a 2% employer contribution and an annual professional development allowance
    • Flexible work environment with four weeks paid vacation
