Provider Programs Manager oversees the provider network administration function of an organization. Collects data, analyzes and reports on claims, utilization, costs and changes. Being a Provider Programs Manager reviews existing and future reimbursement policies, regulations and guidelines. Ensure competitiveness of provider network by the deployment of cost effective programs and systems that deliver results that meet cost control and quality goals of the organization. Additionally, Provider Programs Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Provider Programs Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     The Unit Wellness Provider delivers individual and group peer support on the grounds of the State Psychiatric Hospital.


    Salary: $17.50 per hour

    Schedule: Monday - Friday | 35 hours per week


    Responsibilities:

    • Assist individuals in articulating personal goals using individual and group sessions. During these sessions the Unit Wellness Provider will support in identifying and creating goals with the skills, strengths, supports and resources to aid them in achieving those goals.
    • Utilize and teach problem solving techniques. During sessions, individuals will share common difficulties in daily living and methods they have employed to manage and cope with these difficulties.
    • As much as possible, the UWP will share their own recovery story and as the facilitator of these groups, will demonstrate how they have directed their own recovery.
    • Advocate for discharging individuals to ensure appropriate community-based treatment and recovery linkages and services.
    • Plans and runs social and recreational activities at the wellness center.
    • Maintains smooth operation of the center including general order and cleanliness, knowledge of wellness center policy and procedure, and understanding of hospital rules and safety procedures.
    • Assists in community relations and marketing of the wellness center to hospital staff, community providers and DBHS as directed by supervisor.
    • In collaboration with the Hospital Center Manager, coordinates with hospital staff regarding center hours, activities, and consumer attendance.
    • Performs other related duties which may be requested by supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Associate’s Degree with 1 years of relevant experience OR
    • High School Diploma / GED with 2 years of relevant work experience.
    • Peer Recovery Program/certification preferred.
    • Experience with inpatient hospitalization.
    • Willingness to disclose current or prior use of mental health and/or addiction services, homelessness and speak openly about aspects of their individual recovery.
    • Knowledge and skill to teach and engage in basic problem-solving strategies to support individuals in self-directed recovery.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to empathize, make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals with mental illness and those who provide services to them.
    • Knowledge of community resources in the assigned region and relevant to consumers in and to be discharged from State Psychiatric Hospital.
    • Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
    • Proficient in Excel, MS Office products, as well as general computer literacy.
    • Bilingual skills are a plus.
    • Valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
    • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
