About the Role:
This position entails leading a team of experienced provisioners to develop comprehensive provisioning data, including Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), parts screening, and provisioned part lists. The role involves technical interfacing with both external and internal customers, specifically addressing provisioning issues related to client programs.
Responsibilities:
- Data Review and Verification:
- Review LMP data staging area files against client TDP to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Verify technical data, confirming that the database matches the current delivered configuration.
Provisioning Documentation Oversight:
- Review Provisioning LSA-036 submittals before delivery to the Government.
- Ensure Provisioning data elements comply with the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
Analysis and Coordination:
- Analyze reports, collaborating with Government and client to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Technical Documentation Review:
- Review drawings, Change Requests (CR), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), and other technical documentation to confirm provisioning requirements for the design.
Database Management:
- Establish and maintain the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007, MIL-STD-1388-2B, using SLICwave.
Design Enhancement Recommendations:
- Assess emerging designs for compliance with requirements and recommend design alternatives for improved supportability and maintainability.
Data Documentation:
- Document provisioning data in the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database.
Information Translation:
- Translate engineering and technical information into source data to support the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products.
ILS Product Development Support:
- Provide support and assistance to ILS products developers, ensuring effective utilization of provided source data.
Logistic Demonstrations and Validation/Verification Support:
- Support Logistic Demonstrations and ILS products validation/verification efforts as required.
Field Test Support:
- Support field test activities, tracking and documenting test incidents, and providing closeout reports as required.
Customer Inquiries and Investigations:
- Investigate customer and internal inquiries, providing responses, reports, and materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Experienced with government Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) specifications MIL-STD-1388-2B and GEIA-0007.
Provisioning Knowledge:
- Proficient with Logistics Control Numbers (LCNs), Provisioning List Item Sequence Numbers (PLISNs), SMR codes, Provisioning Contract Control Numbers (PCCNs), and Usable On Codes (UOCs).
Database Proficiency:
- Experienced with relational table databases such as SlicWave, Powerlog-J.
Software Familiarity:
- Experienced with IETM viewers like EMS2, EMS NG, IADS.
- Proficient with Adobe Professional and all Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience with LSA-36 reports in MIL-STD 1388-2B or GEIA-0007 format.
- Familiarity with U.S. Army logistics support structure, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of ECP/CR/ERR process required.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with other logistics engineers, TM personnel, Quality Assurance, Validation/Verification, and Government representatives.
Report and Presentation Preparation:
- Capability to prepare reports and presentations from various data sources for company and Government reviews.
Analytical Skills:
- Analytical ability to analyze reports and coordinate with Government, GDLS, and vendor personnel to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Logistics Experience:
- Working knowledge and logistics experience with systems, subsystems, and components associated with heavy and/or medium mobile system operation and maintenance is preferred.
