Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. Performs initial psychiatric assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements treatment for the patient. Being a Psychiatrist prescribes psychopharmacological medications as needed. Monitors and records client progress, and amends treatment plan according to patient response. Additionally, Psychiatrist requires a MD degree. Must have completed a psychiatry residency. Typically reports to a medical director. Typically requires board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Requires a state license to practice.     About The Position
    CompHealth is currently assisting a single-specialty facility in Indiana with their search for a psychiatrist. The schedule is flexible with a 1:12 call rotation. You will see an average of 10 - 12 patients per day. You will work with a great group of physicians advanced practice providers, social workers, and case managers. They welcome both board certified and board eligible candidates. If you are board eligible, you must be within 5 years of completing your training. CompHealth has a dedicated licensing team that can help you obtain an IN medical license, if necessary. J-1 and H-1B visa holders are welcome to apply. Final-year residents and fellows will also be considered.

    You will be provided loan repayment, relocation assistance, a sign-on bonus, life insurance, CME time, a retirement package, and malpractice insurance. You will also receive a competitive compensation package, bonuses, health benefits, and 27 days of PTO plus 6 holidays.
