Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. Performs initial psychiatric assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements treatment for the patient. Being a Psychiatrist prescribes psychopharmacological medications as needed. Monitors and records client progress, and amends treatment plan according to patient response. Additionally, Psychiatrist requires a MD degree. Must have completed a psychiatry residency. Typically reports to a medical director. Typically requires board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Requires a state license to practice.     We are currently seeking a Full-time Board-Certified Psychiatrist for our clients located in CO and LA. 

    Compensation: $150/encounter (W2) - $185/encounter (1099) 

    Position Summary:  

    • MindCare will assist in the cost to get licensed if provider already has one compact licensure; we may request additional licenses as well 
    • Standard Daytime hours, either 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts available  
    • Position is for Full-time telepsychiatry outpatient for a corrections facility
    • Evaluate and treat patients referred for the assessment and treatment of neuropsychiatric conditions, behavioral health disorders, and comorbid conditions. Provide recommendations for assessment, treatment, and monitoring including prescribing medications within limits of applicable State law and following appropriate standards of care 
    • Achieve the following average encounter times with patients (excluding necessary time to complete documentation):
      • Initial Psychiatric Evaluations : 60 minutes
      • follow-up psychiatric treatment: 30 minutes
