Psychiatrist jobs in Green Bay, WI
Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. Performs initial psychiatric assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements treatment for the patient. Being a Psychiatrist prescribes psychopharmacological medications as needed. Monitors and records client progress, and amends treatment plan according to patient response. Additionally, Psychiatrist requires a MD degree. Must have completed a psychiatry residency. Typically reports to a medical director. Typically requires board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Requires a state license to practice. Psychiatrist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- See patients in our inpatient behavioral health unit at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital
- 7 days on/7 days off, 7a-7p
- 10 days of call/month
- Adult mental health unit
- Average daily census of 8 patients
- Work with a supportive Behavioral Health team
- Work with residents from Medical College of Wisconsin
- Certification in ECT is a bonus

- Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital is one of the few behavioral health inpatient units in northern Wisconsin
- Aspirus Health is a system of 17 hospitals and 75 clinics in Central and Northern Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan
- Rhinelander is a close-knit community where you can enjoy all four seasons by taking advantage of endless outdoor recreation including boating, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, and fishing
