Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. Performs initial psychiatric assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements treatment for the patient. Being a Psychiatrist prescribes psychopharmacological medications as needed. Monitors and records client progress, and amends treatment plan according to patient response. Additionally, Psychiatrist requires a MD degree. Must have completed a psychiatry residency. Typically reports to a medical director. Typically requires board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Requires a state license to practice.   • Job Summary:
    We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team at ERC Pathlight in Plano, TX. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide care for individuals with eating disorders and primary mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment program that is dedicated to improving the mental wellness of our patients.

    Responsibilities:
    - Provide clinical care for inpatient, residential, and PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) patients.
    - Maintain a caseload of approximately 21 patients per week.
    - Conduct daily patient contacts and document interactions with inpatient (IP) patients.
    - Conduct two patient contacts per week and document interactions for residential (RES) and PHP patients.
    - Collaborate with other disciplines and referring providers to ensure top-quality care for patients.
    - Develop treatment plans, engage in professional development and training, and collaborate in treatment planning.
    - Treat patients aged 16 and above.
    - Participate in team-based admission assessments led by the psychiatrist.
    - Follow a 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) schedule, working onsite Monday-Friday.
    - Be available for weekend call every 3-4 month
    - Work alongside a supportive team including therapists, case managers, registered dietitians, primary care physicians, registered nurses, and administrative staff.
    - Focus on providing evidence-based, high-quality psychiatric care to promote superior patient outcomes.
    - Have the opportunity to engage in scholarly work and connect with leaders in the field.

    Qualifications:
    - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
    - Completion of a psychiatric residency from an accredited program.
    - Board eligibility in the appropriate specialty (board certification preferred).
    - Experience in eating disorder treatment is welcomed but not required; weekly supervision is available to provide support and development of expertise.
