Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. Performs initial psychiatric assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements treatment for the patient. Being a Psychiatrist prescribes psychopharmacological medications as needed. Monitors and records client progress, and amends treatment plan according to patient response. Additionally, Psychiatrist requires a MD degree. Must have completed a psychiatry residency. Typically reports to a medical director. Typically requires board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Requires a state license to practice. Liberty Resources is seeking applicants for a Psychiatrist for our Certified Community Behavioral Health Center in Syracuse NY. Full Time or Part Time. Flexible, hybrid schedule. Position Summary: The Psychiatrist will function as a member of the Integrated Health Care Team in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, assisting with a full range of medical services. These services are provided within a team-based approach that is a patient care-centered framework to patients of all ages. Qualifications: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State, and Board Certified/Eligible. A minimum of five years of experience in Psychiatry preferred, but will consider recent graduates as well. Child and Adolescent and addiction experience highly desirable. Must have eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs and must be able to prescribe medications without restrictions. Record must be free of current or pending legal actions. Salary range: $285,000-$300,000 Join our team. This position includes the following: Flexible day time schedule.
