Psychological Services Director jobs in Lynchburg, VA

The Nursing Director of Acute Care Services will play a key leadership role directing the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Additionally, will participate in building and maintaining physician relationships, program development, customer satisfaction, budget preparation and execution. The RN Director of Acute Care services will integrate with the organization’s operations, participate in performance improvement activities, and ensure professional and regulatory compliance is achieved in all areas of responsibility.

Education Required

• Masters Degree in Nursing and/or healthcare related
• DNP Preferred

Licensure/Certification Required

• Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with Virginia or can be licensed

Experienced Required

• 3 years nursing management experience in hospital setting

• Develops and implements strategies that have a strong focus on improving internal and external customer experience (patients, physician satisfaction).
• Holds self and staff accountable for the delivery of quality patient care.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with nursing, medical staff, and other hospital personnel.
• Attends required in-service education programs, meeting Augusta Health's annual continuing education requirements.
• Serves as a consultant in professional matters for personnel.
• Demonstrates ability to supervise (applying principles of personnel management), organize, and coordinate duties of professional and non-professional personnel
• Demonstrates the ability to be analytical and critical in investigating, studying, and evaluating trends and developments in departmental practices and techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assists in developing, implementing and participates in leadership and professional development activities for peers and direct reports.
