Psychological Services Director directs and coordinates the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of psychological services to patients. Oversees the treatment of patients with emotional, mental, and or psychological disorders. Being a Psychological Services Director ensures the psychological division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Psychological Services Director typically reports to top management. The Psychological Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Psychological Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. In this role, you will work with a trusted and reputable team that has a history of success connecting individuals and their families with person-centered, recovery-oriented services and supports.

Come be a part of something that matters. Therapists within our Forensic and Psychological Services team provide mental health and substance abuse evaluation, psychiatric screening, crisis intervention, treatment and case management services to incarcerated adults at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
    In this role, you will:
    • Provide mental health and substance abuse assessments and evaluations for incarcerated adults
    • Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team to include medical staff, correctional staff, and other service providers
    • Lead crisis intervention and stabilization, interagency consultation, and coordination of treatment services
    • Completion and maintenance of all clinical records and documentation according to federal, state, and agency policies and procedures to assure compliance
    • MHSADS places a high priority on professional training and career development. Our therapists are supported in efforts to learn and utilize effective, person-centered, trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions.
    • Therapists are provided opportunities and supervision resources to obtain and maintain professional licensure
    • Therapists also receive training and supervision for certification from Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) as a Certified Preadmission Screening Clinician (CPASC)

    Master's degree in a field eligible for professional licensure as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP); or other licensure where permitted and one (1) year of professional experience working with individuals who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis, which includes internship experience.

    Valued Skills and Experience:
    • Comprehensive clinical skills in crisis intervention and stabilization as well as individual and group treatment
    • Prior experience working with an inmate population in a correctional setting
    • Dedication to fully contributing as a member of a clinical team working within fast-paced and often unpredictable environments
    • Advanced organizational skills
    • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
    Special Requirements:
    • Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week and may include evening hours one night per week
    • Must be fitted for N-95 (or similar) mask to safely provide on-site services as needed

    Post Conditional Offer Contingencies:
    Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
