    Summary:

    The Psychologist will develop and provide comprehensive outpatient therapeutic assessments, treatments and clinical preventative services to individual and group clients to assist them in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

    Requirements

    Minimum qualifications:


    PhD or PsyD in Psychology or closely related subject. Must possess Idaho Psychologist license and have graduated from an accredited program.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    1. Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance.
    2. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    3. Ability to work in a team and independent setting.
    4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
    5. Must pass State-required background check.
    6. Must be computer literate.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Provides psychotherapeutic assessments, services and treatment plans to Heritage Health clients.
    2. Provides assessment through a variety of psychological and/or psychosocial evaluation/testing techniques.
    3. Provides counseling through a variety of treatment modalities, with an emphasis on brief treatment, group work and family therapy.
    4. Works collaboratively with other members of the behavioral, medical and mental health teams to implement treatments for clients/patients leading to positive outcomes.
    5. Acts as liaison with other community agencies on the client’s behalf when appropriate.
    6. Documents service encounters in a thorough, accurate and timely manner. Documentation shall be compliant with supervisory instruction and according to protocols established by Heritage Health and Medicaid standards.
    7. Establishes and maintains the confidence and cooperation of patients and persons connected to the course of work.
    8. Participates in periodic trainings, and satisfactorily completes required training in a timely manner.
    9. Adheres to appropriate professional, ethical, and legal standards, and complies with organizational privacy and client confidentiality practices.
    10. Responsible for maintaining professional, respectful and effective working relationships with staff, patients and community professionals/agencies.
    11. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
    12. Heritage Health staff have an active role in our Patient Centered Medical Home model of care. This role is designated as part of the Heritage Health PCMH Care Team.
    13. Performs other duties as assigned.
