Job Description/Scop of Work:
Psychologist needed to provide outpatient mental health services at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility on the Navajo Nation in Chinle, Arizona. This position will work under the direction of the Supervisory Clinical Psychologist and provide a variety of counseling, assessment, and therapy services to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy for patients with mental health and substance abuse issues
· Perform psychological assessments and brief treatments using empirically supported methods
· Accept referrals from other behavioral health providers and provide consultation services as needed
· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the facility's electronic health record system
· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and participate in clinical reviews and quality improvement activities
· Provide mental health expertise, education, and guidance to primary care providers and other behavioral health staff
· Ensure all care meets professional standards and accreditation requirements
Qualifications:
· PhD, PsyD or EdD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program
· Current, valid and unrestricted license to practice psychology in the United States
· Experience providing outpatient mental health services
· Knowledge of treatment approaches for mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and chronic pain
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
· Commitment to cultural awareness working with Native American communities
Work Schedule: Tour of Duty: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, Forty (40) hours per week and Overtime Hours after 5 pm.
