Being a Psychologist - Ph.D uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a PhD in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - Ph.D requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - Ph.D works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Qualifications (Education, Trainings, and Experiences) and Requirements:
•Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D. in psychology preferred. PA state licensure as a psychologist is required.
•Demonstrated experience with children and adolescents required, preferably including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. •Inpatient psychiatric or residential experience
•Prior supervisory experience and training preferred.
The candidate must pass a Criminal History Record Clearance & a Child Abuse History Clearance which are processed by KidsPeace as well as possess a valid driver's license.
