Marketing Public Relations Specialist

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the "member benefit-based approach."
    • Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC Policies.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive communication and engagement strategies to promote our services, initiatives, and events across multiple channels (social media, email, newsletters, press releases, etc.).
    • Craft engaging and informative content that resonates with our diverse member base and aligns with the SRP brand voice and values. Ensure the proper use and application of the SRP brand.
    • Support the creation of email marketing campaigns, including high-quality promotional email designs based on knowledge of responsive design, layout principles, efficient coding, and aesthetic design concepts.
    • Creates and assists in facilitating the production of print/collateral marketing materials, including:

        - Writing, design, editing, and printing within budgetary and compliance guidelines

        - Work in conjunction with printing/graphics representatives and marketing agency

        - Reviews mock-ups, revises, and obtains final product

    • Composes copy for specific advertising mediums, such as websites, brochures, emails, direct mail, radio, television, and digital.
    • Prepares press releases to local newspapers and credit union related trade journals about SRPFCU events, new hires, and
    • Responsible for project management and coordination of a wide variety of marketing and communication efforts such as marketing campaigns, advertising, online marketing, website graphics and marketing content, outbound marketing emails, newsletters, and retail marketing.
    • Establish, track, and report on standard campaign metrics to optimize.
    • Responsible for administering department communication to Credit Union employees.
    • Responsible for administering Credit Union communication to members.
    • Administers marketing communications campaigns; tests and analyzes workflow, lead generation, and lead nurturing; and identifies tactics for improvement using single-send email and marketing automation.
    • Drives web, mobile, Online Banking, and other online platform Marketing efforts and brand image within those mediums.
    • Monitors search engine rankings and content to provide reports to department and other internal stakeholders. Also monitors keywords, terms, and competitor activity, on social media sites, industry message boards, and leading search engine sites. Recommends goals for each channel. Accesses data and performs detailed analysis to make quantifiable decisions on plans and tactics.
    • Support company external and internal websites, including new landing pages and updating existing web material.
    • Assists with internal and external signage.
    • Serves as a credit union representative within the community and is actively visible at credit union events and credit union-sponsored events.
    • . Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within marketing.
    • Assists with the Annual Membership Meeting.
    • Other tasks may be assigned by appropriate line supervision.

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Works under general supervision; typically reports to the Marketing Manager—Cross-trains in other Marketing roles to serve as a backup when needed.

     

    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communication or Public Relations; 3 or more years related experience marketing and/or communications experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry experience is preferred.

    • Strong organizational skills, coupled with the ability to handle multiple priorities, set schedules, and adhere to project deadlines, are essential for success in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
    • Ability to work effectively and productively both independently and as part of a team, exhibiting a high degree of attention to detail, exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, and the capacity to work cohesively towards shared goals in a team environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent listening skills and customer service attributes.
    • Proficient in computer applications, graphic standards, and video merchandising.
    • Able to initiate and lead work, establish relationships, and negotiate with vendors for work or projects to be completed.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience.
    • Digital marketing experience
    • Photography, videography, and graphic design skills preferred.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Email /Calendar, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite software, SEO. Experience with CRM software programs and WordPress is preferred.
