Public Relations Director directs and implements a company's public relations strategies. Manages media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and speaking opportunities. Being a Public Relations Director evaluates and authorizes all forms of communication regarding the organization for release to the public. Develops press releases, white papers and supporting materials. Additionally, Public Relations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Public Relations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Public Relations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Summer Internship:  Public Relations 
    Hourly Rate:  $13.11 per hour 


     

    This position will perform a variety of tasks related to preparing marketing materials, video production and website updates.  Previous production experience needed. Average hours 20 per week.

    Internship designed to attract local high school students meeting the minimum qualifications. 



    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    The physical activities required for this position involves: Frequent standing, sitting, walking, using hands to operate tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing or balancing, and crawling. This position requires:
    Minimum lifting requirement may include 25 lbs but could be up to 100 pounds with specific equipment. Ability to stand / kneel / crawl / stoop / walk  on regular basis on even and uneven surfaces as needed. This position has the following special vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to read information in both print and electronically
