Public Relations Director directs and implements a company's public relations strategies. Manages media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and speaking opportunities. Being a Public Relations Director evaluates and authorizes all forms of communication regarding the organization for release to the public. Develops press releases, white papers and supporting materials. Additionally, Public Relations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Public Relations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Public Relations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities for a Public Relations Coordinator with Phoebe Allentown:
Promotes and maintains a positive image of Phoebe Ministries by adhering to brand guidelines; creates and facilitates consistent Phoebe-focused narratives and storytelling for external community promotion and internal employee knowledge and understanding; coordinates messaging with interdisciplinary teams, outside advisors, and with Phoebe supervisors and leadership; cultivates relationships with internal and external partners; interacts with the media both on- and off-camera; responds to press requests and inquiries from the public in a timely and professional manner; reports pertinent information to the marketing manager.
Requirements for a Public Relations Coordinator with Phoebe Allentown:
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required.
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Communications or Public Relations.
- Desktop publishing and editing skills preferred, but not required.
