PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a Public Relations Intern.

Summary

The Public Relations intern will work closely with the Public Relations Manager towards enhancing our company's online presence and building and maintaining positive relationships with our stakeholders. This position’s primary responsibility will be to support various communication initiatives and leverage social media platforms to engage our audience. This is a fulltime, hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the PR Manager, create and curate engaging content for our company’s social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, TikTok)
• Collaborate with the PR team to create compelling, on-brand visual and written content for various platforms
• Monitor social media trends and engage with followers to foster meaningful interactions
• Schedule and analyze posts to optimize engagement and reach
• Track and report on media coverage related to our industry and company
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and influencers
• Compile data and prepare reports to measure the impact of PR and social media efforts
• Assist with building and updating media lists
• Conduct research on air quality related topics
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

• College senior or graduate with a major in Communications or Public Relations
• Communications and social media experience preferred
• Media relations experience desired
• Working knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, Canva, and Hootsuite
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Other Requirements

May be required to attend and participate in professional development activities both in and outside the company to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base pay for this position is $20.00 per hour. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience.
