The Public Works Director performs complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the Public Works Department and other public works projects and programs ensuring technical competence and compliance with all codes and criteria; serves as Public Works Director; supervises six (6) divisions with a total of approximately 130 personnel.
The Public Works Director regularly acts as a key member of the City of Lawton’s Management Team by participating and providing input towards establishing the City’s policies and procedures.

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline; five years previous municipal public works or engineering experience with two years of supervisory and administrative utilities experience.
