About the role:

• Oversee and drive the day to day management of global external communications – from product PR, media relations, corporate PR programs and positioning, CSR, and more
• Manage global PR agency and other external business partners against clear KPIs designed to deliver world-class results
• Develop McAfee’s corporate narrative underpinned by impactful storytelling
• Create new and engaging communications strategies and plans that gain cut through and elevate the company’s brand and positioning in the market
• Develop and oversee global PR measurement criteria to evaluate and assess effective communication programs
• Be a strategic partner to key stakeholders across the company to maximize communications efforts and support business goals
• Manage the full spectrum of external communications from campaign and strategy planning, messaging and Q&A development, briefing materials, talking points, and more
• Work with VP of Communications and agency on crisis and issues management strategy and execution
• Serve as a point of contact for top tier media outlets where needed

About you:

• 15 years of experience in public relations, with at least five years in B2C technology
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to oversee and drive multiple projects at once
• Strong writing and editing skills - proficient in AP style
• Experienced in agency management across multiple markets
• An excellent storyteller who can craft compelling corporate narratives for McAfee
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience working in a B2C environment
• You are excited and energized about creative and innovative external communications and have a pulse on latest trends and how they can be applied in corporate communications
• A proven and experienced communications thought leader passionate about the role communications can play in advancing corporate objectives
• Self-starter, who solves problems, adapts to changing circumstances and acts with urgency
• Ability to coach and provide counsel to spokespeople and executives
• Excellent copywriting and verbal skills - proficient in AP style
• Some agency experienced preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or equivalent experience
