Public Relations Manager develops and implements policies and procedures for the public relations department. Maintains favorable public image for employer or client by communicating programs, accomplishments, and/or points of view. Being a Public Relations Manager evaluates all forms of communications before release to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of message and authorizes release. Prepares and distributes news releases, fact sheets, scripts, etc. to media outlets. Additionally, Public Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Public Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Public Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Public Relations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the execution of PR campaigns, media relations efforts, and client communications initiatives.     Responsibilities:

    • Media Relations:

      • Cultivate and maintain relationships with members of the media, including journalists, editors, and influencers.
      • Pitch story ideas, press releases, and thought leadership content to secure media coverage for clients across print, broadcast, and online outlets.
      • Monitor media coverage and track editorial calendars to identify opportunities for client placements.
    • Content Development:

      • Assist in the development of press releases, media pitches, bylined articles, and other written materials to effectively communicate client messages and narratives.
      • Contribute to the creation of compelling storytelling content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters.
    • Client Communication:

      • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on PR activities, media coverage, and campaign performance.
      • Coordinate client meetings, calls, and presentations, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
    • Event Support:

      • Assist in the planning and execution of PR events, including press conferences, media briefings, product launches, and promotional events.
      • Coordinate logistics, manage RSVPs, and support on-site event coordination as needed.
    • Research and Analysis:

      • Conduct research and analysis to gather insights on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience demographics to inform PR strategies and campaigns.
      • Monitor social media channels and online forums to identify relevant conversations and opportunities for engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software.
    • Creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for storytelling and building relationships.
