  • JOB OVERVIEW:

    This position is responsible for driving gross margin and supplier contributions to the organization. Responsibilities include negotiating, executing, and reporting on all activities related and contributing to the supplier performance for Henry Schein North American Distribution group.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Management of supplier incentive programs. Works closely with product category managers, marketing, and sales teams to maximize incentives through various marketing vehicles.
    • Participates in the negotiation of incentive agreements and works with accounting and internal audit team to close out quarters.
    • Conducts monthly meetings to discuss incentive results with Category Managers and marketing teams.
    • Analyzes data to convey a story and develop recommendations for strategies leveraging insights from data.
    • Acts as point person regarding local and group practice contracts with suppliers.
    • Responsible for interaction with senior management and functional peer groups as well to provide recommendations, guidance, updates related to supplier contracts and pricing.
    • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas and orchestrate support across company's departments including sales, marketing, and supply chain to maximize gross margin.
    • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience. Including 3 years of contract experience.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION:

    Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.

    TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

    The posted range for this position is $95,990 to $167,983 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

    This position is eligible for a [bonus/incentive] not reflected in the posted range.
