Public Relations Manager develops and implements policies and procedures for the public relations department. Maintains favorable public image for employer or client by communicating programs, accomplishments, and/or points of view. Being a Public Relations Manager evaluates all forms of communications before release to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of message and authorizes release. Prepares and distributes news releases, fact sheets, scripts, etc. to media outlets. Additionally, Public Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Public Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Public Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Overview

    This full-time position acts as support staff for multiple departments with an emphasis on Marketing and Development. The scheduled shift is five days a week, 8-hour shifts, unless otherwise decided by the department supervisor. Works independently and in a team environment to complete projects and daily tasks. Works closely with the Administrative team to decide priorities and assist as needed. This position requires candidates who are energetic, motivated, personable, and reliable.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains and inputs donor, member, and sponsor records, both electronic and physical.
    • Connects with donors, members, and sponsors to maintain a working relationship and community connectivity.
    • Assists the Marketing team in tasks such as creating social media posts, promotion items, and other computer-based projects.
    • Interacts with the public by answering phone calls, emails, and in person inquiries.
    • Contributes to events with ideas, set-up, and working during events such as holiday events, community outreach events, and rentals.
    • Prepares communications such as memos, emails, purchase orders, reports, and other correspondence.
    • Maintain complete confidentiality of donor, member, sponsor, employee records and park information.
    • Aid Human Resources and Finance in tasks such as maintaining employee files, creating presentations, and inputting data.
    • Serves on Safety Committee.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Personable, energetic, and reliable personalityas needed
    • Professional written and verbal communications
    • Able to sit or stand for long period of times, work on computer for long periods of time
    • Must be able to pass a drugtest, including for marijuana
    • Candidates must agree to a background check
