Public Relations Manager develops and implements policies and procedures for the public relations department. Maintains favorable public image for employer or client by communicating programs, accomplishments, and/or points of view. Being a Public Relations Manager evaluates all forms of communications before release to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of message and authorizes release. Prepares and distributes news releases, fact sheets, scripts, etc. to media outlets. Additionally, Public Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Public Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Public Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Lam Research is seeking a dynamic, self-starter and experienced public relations professional to join its Public Relations Team. Reporting to the Director of Public Relations, you will leverage your proven media skills to elevate and protect the company's public brand, profile, and reputation. You will support core public relation programs and activities and develop and execute smart public relations plans that result in high-impact and on-message earned media coverage for corporate focus areas and strategic wafer fabrication equipment product announcements. You will be a skilled writer with deep experience in technology-related communications and a proven ability to work with subject matter experts to develop compelling external messaging and public relations content, including press releases, media briefing materials, and bylined articles. You will also work closely with Lam's international public relations and the Lam Global Government Affairs teams to speak with one voice to media and external stakeholders around the world. You are organized, detailed-oriented, and have a passion for storytelling and a bias for action.

    What You'll Do
    • Support core corporate public relations activities and strategic communications initiatives, inclusive of planning, proactive and reactive media relations, crisis and issues management, day-to-day program management.
    • Develop and execute creative and impactful public relations strategies for strategic product announcements that result in earned media coverage at scale.
    • Develop press releases, messaging, bylined articles, executive briefing materials, and other public relations content.
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify major storylines and create impactful messaging resources for Lam's global communications team to speak to the media about the company and our products in one united voice.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and coordinate with regional teams to develop integrated communications plans to support the launch of select new products and technology solutions.
    • Coordinate activity with regional public relations partners and help facilitate internal review and finalization external content.
    • Build and cultivate relationships with key reporters and influencers at target media outlets and industry trade publications. Own media relations with key semiconductor trade outlets.
    • Work with agility to build communications plans, measure results, and drive continuous improvement to maximize impact.
    • Serve as an effective steward of Lam's culture by engaging effectively across all regions and stakeholders with an appreciation of cultural differences to help us maximize our global external voice and influence.
    • Promote a positive and collaborative working environment where teammates celebrate each other's successes, share lessons learned, and best practices.
    Who We're Looking For

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum 6 to 8 years of previous corporate communications experience within multi-national public companies.
    • Demonstrated media experience with business press and technical trade media.
    • Exceptional writing skills required.
    • Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and have proven ability to manage multi-faceted communications programs in a fast-moving environment.
    • Experience working in the semiconductor industry highly preferred.
    • Ability to understand complex technical subject matter, evaluate industry trends, and effectively partner with stakeholders to distill messaging for key audiences.
    • Deep knowledge of public relations strategies and demonstrated experience working with executives and technology thought leaders on top-tier media opportunities.
    • Creative, strategic thinking, and have demonstrated ability to craft and get results with fresh, media pitches that resonate target press.
    • Ability to balance strategy and business acumen to best invest resources and maximize impact.
    • Comfortable working without significant oversight and driving follow-through to impactful execution.
    • Ability to effortlessly handle multiple projects, prioritize deliverables and act with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
