Our Marketing department is looking for a Public Relations Specialist. This is a dual role that shares time between customer service and public relations/communications. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping customers and is interested in writing blogs, press releases and planning events. This position will be the front line of support for customers to help ensure that customers are satisfied with products and services.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and respond to customer emails.
Resolve product/service issues by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
Prepare product/service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information and distributing to team.
Assist with other areas of Marketing department, such as donation requests.
Share the Stewarts story with content.
Write press releases, newsletters, and blogs.
Plan and attend events such as grand openings, press conferences, ice cream events, etc.
Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities daily.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office & computer skills.
Detail oriented & able to communicate effectively with various departments, district managers and shops.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Bachelors degree in communications preferred but not required.
We offer:
Full time position, M-F schedule 8:00am 4:30pm (some nights and weekends may be required for events).
Salary Range is $20-$23/hour with ESOP and benefits package.

About Schenectady, New York
Schenectady (/skəˈnɛktədi/) is a city in Schenectady County, New York, United States, of which it is the county seat. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 66,135. The name "Schenectady" is derived from a Mohawk word, skahnéhtati, meaning "beyond the pines".
