Public School Teacher prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic needs of children in a K-12 classroom setting. Being a Public School Teacher evaluates and monitors student's performance. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Public School Teacher participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require specific state-level teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Public School Teacher occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We are looking for an after school teacher assistant to join our Unity family! The position will go to the person who has experience in a k-5 after-school program or a comparable program, or, is going to college for early education, education, special ed or any related child development degree. This is a perfect position for a college student, or a person who needs part-time employment in the afternoons. Must have strong multi-tasking skills, patience, positive conflict-resolution styles, an upbeat fun personality and a wanting to bond and make long lasting relationships with our students. We also have a fun summer program that takes our kiddos all over lane county to explore and have fun. The right candidate will be excited for field trips and ready to join in fun activities with the class and will be able to work full-time during the summer.
