Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic needs of children in a K-12 classroom setting. Being a Public School Teacher evaluates and monitors student's performance. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Public School Teacher participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require specific state-level teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Public School Teacher occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking self-motivated and energetic individuals to teach High School Summer School
Mathematics Credit Recovery Courses (academic make-up) for Summer School 2024. Come join our team in educating
and guiding our students to success in the future! Teaching positions earn $25 per hour. High School academic courses
run from June 10 - July 19, 2024. Hours start at 7:45 am and end at 11:45 am with an extra hour of paid prep time. Please
note, there is no school on July 4 and 5.
Qualifications:
The School District of Milton is seeking passionate teachers who will engage students in the learning process with the
ability to develop connections with all students. Candidates should be organized, flexible, have strong communication
skills, be able to work in a collaborative environment, have a solid background in technology and strong classroom
management skills.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in Mathematics – 1400 and have the appropriate position
code for ninth and twelfth grade students.
