Public School Teacher prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic needs of children in a K-12 classroom setting. Additionally, Public School Teacher participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Our Lady of Loretto Elementary School is a Catholic transitional kindergarten through 8th-grade elementary school. Position Responsibilities: We are looking for a strong candidate who can take on the position of middle school math teacher for our on level math courses for 6th-8th grade math for the 2024-2025 school year. The position is either part-time to full time depending on the availability of the applicant which may result in the teaching of math in other grades.
Applicants should have the following: *A valid Multiple Subject or Single Subject California teaching credential or working towards your valid Multiple Subject/Single Subject Credential *A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or Science with an emphasis in mathematics preferred *A passion for teaching middle school students *Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with parents, students, and colleagues for the success of the students. *Strong communication skills and a positive disposition when dealing with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. *Classroom management skills that incorporate researched-based strategies that are positive and lead to student and class success *Teaching and/or experience working with children *Demonstrated communication skills with parents, faculty, and students *Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis *Commitment to excellence and rigor for all students
