Job Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating transportation operations between our manufacturing sites, carriers, and customers. This role will enter, update, and maintain all truck scheduling information utilizing our TMS system to facilitate stacking and shipping operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage freight procurement for 8 shipping facilities
• Analyze and resolve freight issues between carriers and shipping locations.
• Works with our 3rd party logistics provider on continuous improvement processes to help drive cost down and improve service
• Entering and tendering of freight orders.
• Daily report tracking of open loads, dock availability and cancelled loads daily.
• Customer delivery notifications
• Booking inbound manufacturing loads
• Entering and maintaining carrier rates
• Management of TMS system, maintaining users, and location preferences
• Working in conjunction with logistics coordinator from sister company
• Tracking and fixing shipping errors
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
• Assist in other projects and reporting on an as needed basis
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Qualifications

• High school diploma, equivalent (GED)
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years of Trucking, Transportation, or Logistics experience
• Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, PPT, and PBI
• Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills
