The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for administering and executing a full range of human resources programs and will assist in the management of the day-to-day operations of the HR department, providing support to the HR Manager, branch directors, and leadership.

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Full Time (40 hours per week); Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Additional hours, overtime, and weekend work may be required to meet business needs

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Performs routine tasks required to assist in the administration and execution of human resource programs, including but not limited to payroll, benefits; policy application; recruitment; and new hire processes.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate person.
    • Partners with recruiting and hiring managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for specified vacant positions, and uses the information to develop and manage job postings and advertisements on internal and external websites.
    • Collaborates with recruiting to screen incoming applications and conduct preliminary interviews with qualified candidates. Provides feedback and recommendations to hiring manager and coordinates/schedules additional interviews.
    • Responds to candidate inquiries and provides feedback to candidates not selected for positions.
    • Conducts and administers all pre-employment screening/background checks.
    • Assists HR department in managing the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program to ensure compliance with all related regulations and policies.
    • Provides excellent internal and external customer service in support of our company values.
    • Coordinates and participates in networking/recruiting events.
    • Coordinates and delivers new hire orientation ensuring key information is conveyed and all required paperwork, documentation, and/or information is received and processed.
    • Updates information in HR Learning, Training and Communication platforms.
    • Assists HR department and Branch Directors with onboarding new team members.
    • Prepares and maintains electronic and paper employee files, includes filing.
    • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources, reporting to leadership.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; company polices; and recommended best practices.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to exercise initiative, plan and prioritize and re-prioritize work as needed.
    • Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Working understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and ATS systems.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with excellent working knowledge of Excel.

    EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience in human resources.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in human resources related work.
    • Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, and/or distribution, preferred.

    TRAVEL: May be required occasionally
