  • Job Summary:

    The Human Resource Generalist will take charge of all aspects of recruiting within the HR department, managing the hiring process from start to finish. This includes sourcing and attracting candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process. They will also be responsible for negotiating job offers, coordinating onboarding activities, and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Additionally, they will collaborate with the HR Manager in managing employee relations, tackling grievances, conducting investigations, and implementing disciplinary measures as required.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Recruitment and Staffing: Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations. Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
    • Employee Onboarding: Conduct new employee orientations to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Administer and explain benefits programs, policies, and procedures to new hires.
    • HR Administration: Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure data accuracy. Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other related matters.
    • Employee Relations: Assist in resolving employee relations issues, conducting investigations when necessary, and recommending appropriate actions. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns and fostering a culture of open communication.
    • Performance Management: Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers and employees on performance reviews and goal setting. Assist in identifying training and development needs.
    • Compliance and Legal: Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. Assist in maintaining labor law postings and other compliance requirements.
    • Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations. Answer employee questions regarding benefits programs and options.
    • Assists with special projects and all other duties assigned by Human Resource

    Education and Experience:

    Basic:

    • HR degree, certification or equivalent related work or military experience, or a combination of
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources Support role, to include recruiting, preferably in an Oil and Gas environment.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (including strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point skills).
    • Must pass a drug screen, MVR check, and background check pursuant to local, state, and federal


    Preferred:

    • Experience in construction, manufacturing or oil and gas
    • HR Certification 
    • Experience with HR Information


    Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to). The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate office machinery are required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 30 (THIRTY) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.

     

    Work Environment:

    The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Work is usually done indoors and sometimes (rarely) at a client facility or job site. The incumbent may be expected to travel to other work sites with prior notice.
