Punch Press Operator configures and operates electrically powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials used in manufacturing operations. Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions. Being a Punch Press Operator responsibilities include configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing condition of dies, loading materials onto the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from the die. Keeps a record of operational data and performs routine equipment maintenance. Additionally, Punch Press Operator monitors work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Punch Press Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. JOB TITLE: Press Brake Operator (Fresno)
Full Time position - Working hours: 5:00am – 2:00 pm.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary duties of a Press Brake operator are to operate all machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Perform quality checks and produce accurate parts. Operate the press brake to form and bend the materials into the shape specified on the prints or drawings. On the first article and throughout the process check the parts you are forming for accuracy.
Primary duties:
· Reading blueprints and drawings
· Machine set up.
· Measuring parts for accuracy and consistency.
· Perform routine maintenance on equipment
· Retrieve material, load material on machines, setup machine for each job.
· This includes pulling plates off machines from ten (10) pounds to two hundred (200) pounds, depending on material.
· Cleaning and de-slagging parts.
Operator skills:
· Reading blueprints and drawings
· Attention to detail
· Knowledge of sheet and plate products (grades, thickness)
· Proficient in reading and writing English
· Must know how to read calipers, micrometers, scales, angle finders, tape measures, and understand different scales of measurement
· You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work
