Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions. Being a Punch Press Operator responsibilities include configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing condition of dies, loading materials onto the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from the die. Keeps a record of operational data and performs routine equipment maintenance. Additionally, Punch Press Operator monitors work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Punch Press Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. · Hands on Experience on Mechanical Press Machine Operating from 100 MT to 500 MT.
· Hands on Experience on Die Loading & Unloading on Press Machine / Set up as per tool shut height using proper spares. Ie cushion pins, riser blocks, nut bolts etc.
· Press tool knowledge & trouble shooting
· Knowledge of Tool trails & start up.
· Knowledge about machine functioning element like Cushion bed & its type, Bolster size & parallelism, Ram etc.
· Knowledge about structural integrity of the machine and it’s safeguards
· Knowledge about the operating controls panels (mode selector, palm buttons, two hand switch, top stop, auto mode emergency stop)
· Knowledge about press operation defects & actions
· Knowledge about different stamping operations like Cutting & non-cutting
· Stamping knowledge about different grades of sheets wrt thickness
· Knowledge about “tonnage” of the press and the requirement of the tooling
· Knowledge about press tools & its functioning elements & tool safety
· Knowledge about machine PM & Tool PM.
· Knowledge about Drawing reading / GD &T
· Knowledge about Gauges & Instrumentations, Parts inspection & ITP Updating
· Good Knowledge about safety & 5S.

Main responsibility
· Operate press brake machine to bend and form stainless steel products according to specified sequence.
· Pay close attention to detail to ensure products meet quality standards and tolerances.
· Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
· Use calipers, gauges, and tape measure to check height, depth, and other tolerances.
· Detect and report faulty equipment operation or defective materials.
· Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
· Read tape measure accurately to the 16th inch.
· Perform spot inspections of parts.
· Produce quality conforming parts from shop drawings on a CNC Press Brake.
· Change punch keys as per order requirements.
· Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and bend and stoop as necessary.
· Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
