Punch Press Operator configures and operates electrically powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials used in manufacturing operations. Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions. Being a Punch Press Operator responsibilities include configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing condition of dies, loading materials onto the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from the die. Keeps a record of operational data and performs routine equipment maintenance. Additionally, Punch Press Operator monitors work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Punch Press Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Punch Press Set-up Operator - NIGHT SHIFT

  • On a daily production basis a Punch Press employee must be able to perform the following activities (other job requirements may apply and will be discussed during an interview should you qualify):

    • Must have experience setting up metal stamping dies, including: coil feeders, air and servo types.
    • Must be able to read blue prints and follow work instructions.
    • Must be able to perform quality checks on parts.
    • Must be familiar with basic safety operations on the Punch Press.
    • Repetitively lift up to 35lbs

    In addition, Lionshead employees must be able to:

    • Communicate well with Lionshead employees (written & oral)
    • Read and comprehend routers, work instructions
    • Accept and follow direction
    • Work well in a team environment
    • Work safely without endangering yourself or others at IMC
    • Build a quality product that meets the customer's expectations
    • Meet daily production standards

    Shift

    • 4 days per week, 10-hour days
    • 1st Shift (6:00 am to 4:30 pm Mon - Thurs)
    • 2nd Shift (4:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m., Mon – Thurs)
    • Must be willing to work overtime
    • Show up to work on time, every time scheduled

    Base compensation will be determined based on previous experience

    Vacation Program:

    • First year of employment

    After 3 months 40 hrs of vacation

    • After 1 year of employment = 120 hours of vacation

    • After 5 years of employment = 160 hours of vacation
