Position: CNC Punch Press Operator

Load programs, load tooling, operate CNC Punch Presses and support equipment in the production of sheet metal components used in our products. Read and understand blueprints and drawings. Inspect parts using various measuring tools.  

Key roles and responsibilities

• Operate CNC punch presses and support equipment for production. 
• Perform first piece inspections including documentation.
• Perform in process inspection to ensure product quality.
• Identify product issues and report back to Q.C.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Train additional production personnel in new or existing methods.
• Move materials within the plant via forklift, pallet jack and other handling equipment.
• Assist with packaging of finished product.
• Assist other production departments when needed.

Skills and experience

• 3 years working experience with punch presses. 
• Knowledgeable in reading sheet metal drawings including tolerance blocks. 
• Ability to correctly use calipers, squares, and other measuring tools to verify specified dimensions. 
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. 
•  Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time. 
• Attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to work in a team environment and neatness are essential skills for this position.
