Punch Press Operator jobs in Rockford, IL

Freeway Rockford is seeking a Punch Press Set-up Operator to join our team. The Punch Press Set-up Operator is preferred to have experience with compound and progressive stamping dies, but we can train the right mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and motivated individual. The successful candidate will be diligent and flexible, with a high level of attention to detail.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Minimum 1 year experience in press/equipment operation required.
• Capable of inspecting parts utilizing micrometers and gages.
• Control and document the production and flow of raw materials.
• Previous overhead crane experience or ability to learn.
• Must be able to address quality issues.
• Able to problem solve and employ trouble-shooting efforts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Must be able to work Mon-Fri; 5:00am-3:30pm and Saturday; 5:00am-10:00am (As Needed).
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must be able to physically lift 75lbs.
